Choose the correct model and spring rate
Select the bike model and spring rate that match the original rear shock and the expected rider-plus-cargo load.
- EB7PRO 800 lb: source guidance for approximately 150–200 lb
- EB7PRO 1000 lb: source guidance for approximately 200–260 lb
- EB7PRO 1200 lb: source guidance for approximately 260–400 lb
- EB9 800 lb: original replacement spring-rate option
A higher spring rate feels firmer. Rider weight, cargo, riding position and suspension setup all affect the result.
Compatibility check: Compare the eye-to-eye length, mounting-eye width, bolt diameter and clearance with the original shock before ordering. Model and spring rate alone do not confirm fit.
Suspension installation affects handling and frame clearance. Use a qualified bicycle technician if you do not have the correct tools or setup experience.
